Postal Disruptions

Update June 27, 2011:  Canada Post will be back to work today.  Although they have a backlog to work through, this should not impact on our registration process for Jane Brown Playshops on June 30.   

What’s new for this year?

REGISTRATION OPENS JUNE 30, 2011

• This year’s playshops are on the weekend of September 30 to October 2, 2011
  
• The AdoptShop for the older children (ages 11 to 16) will have the same format as last year, and it starts off with a pizza dinner as adopt playshops for teens

• We will have one AdoptShop on the Friday night, one Playshop A for children ages 5 to 6 and three Playshop Bs for children ages 7 to 10
  
• If your child wants to be in the same Playshop B as another child, we cannot guarantee this but will do our best and to help us, we are asking that you register BOTH children at the same time (in the same envelope) to make it easier for us to accommodate this request.
  
• The maximum enrolment per Playshop this year is strictly limited to 25 participants.
  
• This year’s parent session will be “Adoption Communications and Media Challenges”.  Jane will speak about the importance of effective communication in adoptinve parenting and how to deal with media forces that may counteract our messages of positive adoption parenting.  Following this will be a Q & A session.  If you would like to submit a question ahead of time for the Q & A, send your questions to jane4adoption@yahoo.ca.
